This painting is the smallest of the three paintings inspired by a visit to Henley on Thames. I spent the morning painting en plein air on the banks of the River Thames, with a view of Temple Island as well as the river. Rowers, runners and walkers went passed while I painted, and it felt like people and nature were living life in a rhythmic harmony. The title of this painting - Oxygen, refers to life itself, and also reflects the number eight, mentioned in the painting 'Eightfold'
