This painting is part of my collection of paintings inspired by a visit to Sunbury on Thames, where I sat on the bank of the river, watching boats sail by. The title of the painting comes from a line in the song 'Blue River', which I used as a title for the bigger painting in this collection. The Middle Thames Yacht Club sits in all its 'blueness' on the island across from the bank where I painted En Plein Air to help with this painting.
